About Virgie
Virgie is an acquaintance from work who happens to be a co-passenger in the service jeep that takes us to and from work. We never worked together in production, but when we see each other, we get along well. We talk about many things while on our commute. Despite being a breast cancer survivor, someone who has suffered from an illness, Virgie has a bright and positive outlook on life. She doesn't dwell on the negative side but is always bubbly and happy during our talks while riding our service jeepney.
I was feeling a little bit down (worrying about certain things) when she called me at home via video chat in Messenger. While I was talking to her, she lifted my spirits. You can feel how Virgie is truly grateful to experience life, and she brightened my day by just taking the time to video chat with me. I appreciated her kind gesture, and that is when I knew that friendship isn't about how long we have known a person, but how they can create a better effect on our lives.
Christmas 2023
The Christmas season is a time for sharing our blessings by giving gifts to special people.
The best way to show how much you care for family, relatives, and friends is to give gifts.
That is why people who are not vocal about their feelings give gifts to express their love and care for another person.
My good friend Virgie gave me a Snoopy stuffed toy last Christmas in 2023. More than the gift itself, she remembered my favorite Cartoon Character from our talks, which I find endearing and thoughtful. Friends like Virgie are friends for keeps.

About Fhely and Kelvin
Fhely is a former co-leader at work in Production. We were work partners for only a month.
She was the Line Leader, and I was the Line Quality Controller of the conveyor line.
We had this good rapport about work, and we became friends for keeps.
She is a generous friend because she always treats me when we go out to eat, after a tiring workweek. Being with her to unwind after work was one of the perks that I miss from our bonding moments. Fhely is the best example of a friend that you rarely see, but when we get together, it's like the length of time that passed was yesterday.
Kelvin is a former co-trainer at the Training Department.
He is an intelligent person with whom you can discuss many topics of interest.
We rarely have time to talk because he is always busy working on his desktop at the office.
Despite our age gap, we became good friends. Kelvin can be described as someone who has a dual personality. He is serious during work but can be a joker, or the life of the group, when we go out to eat. Kelvin can be so funny that you tend to laugh a lot after talking with him. A very cheerful person, indeed.
A Surprise Birthday with dear old friends
This year, I was blessed to have attended mass at church on my exact birthday to thank God for another year added to my life. I have come to this certain age to consider it a blessing to still be alive. No birthday party or celebration like last year because I am now living a frugal life.

It was a pleasant surprise that my friends Fhely and Kelvin visited me at home that day. I feel grateful for their thoughtfulness and appreciate them taking the time to spend a few hours with me on that special day.
