"Your Life is What You Make It."
Introduction:
From a Social Media post, I repurposed the content "Your Life is What You Make It" and added research to elaborate on the topic, and combined the facts to write a blog post.
I fondly remember a former colleague (Ms. Thelma Ignacio) sharing her words of wisdom about this topic. She gave her advice whenever new employees asked if working in Production was difficult. She told the trainees, "You are the only one responsible for how you want your life to become...to be miserable or be happy."
Here are the 5 daily habits that you can do each and every day:
1. Feed your Heart 💓 📖
- By surrounding yourself with kind and loving people,
- And in return, being kind and loving to others.
- Be kind to unkind people, if possible.
2. Feed your Mind 📚 📺 📻 💻
- By thinking good and positive thoughts,
- Reading inspiring quotes and books,
- Watching good television shows or movies,
- Listening to good music.
- Keeping your mind active by learning something new.
3. Feed your Body 🍱 💪 💺
- Eat nutritious food, or have a well-balanced diet.
- Exercise or walk daily, preferably in the morning.
- Decrease stress by not watching bad news on television, and
- Getting enough sleep at night, at least 7 hours.
4. Feed your Soul 📚 🌆
- Reading the Bible after you wake up to start a new day with gratefulness.
- By making time for yourself, where you find peace and quiet.
- Meditate and take time to reflect on what is truly important in life.
5. Feed your Faith 💓 👪
- Through daily prayers and talking with God
- By giving Him thanks for the many blessings in your life,
- Asking for guidance during life's struggles, and
- Keep God in your heart at all times.
Conclusion:
Is it true that "Your Life is What You Make It"?
Coincidentally, I also read an E-book that is related to this mindset.
According to Andrew Matthews, writer and illustrator of the E-book "How Life Works," "The harmony you seek is not with other people; it is with yourself."
Our daily habits and actions are the main factors in creating our lives without doubts and regrets. We must remember and learn from the failures of our past, but do not dwell on them. When we feel good about ourselves, better things happen to us. It is okay to dream and feel good, but also take action to improve your life.
